The heat treatment of spindle holders through tempering is a fundamental process for relieving residual stresses generated during machining and hardening. Induction allows for rapid and uniform heating, improving dimensional stability and extending the lifespan of theholder. This process is particularly critical to ensure that the holders maintain their precision and functionality over time.

Induction heating is a versatile method that can be used to perform tempering of spindle clamps, delivering precise and consistent results while ensuring efficient energy use.

The tempering process of the spindle holder was carried out using a Platinum HF2 generator with a closed loop inductor. The holder was mounted on a rotating spindle, allowing the piece to rotate to ensure uniform heating across the entire surface. With the aid of a thermal camera, it was possible to monitor and stabilize the temperature at 700 °C, the ideal value for achieving the required tempering and relieving internal stresses in the metal. This approach ensured a highly precise and repeatable process, enhancing the durability and precision of the holder.
